An Arkansas Department of Corrections inmate has been arrested on warrants for kidnapping and terroristic threatening by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

29-year-old Christopher Williams from the Varner Super Maxiumum Security Unit was brought to the Dub Brassell Detention Center on warrants for three counts of Kidnapping and one count of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree according to a statement from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Originally from Brinkley, Williams is currently serving a 30-month sentence for Aggravated Assault, and a 52-month sentence for Domestic Battery in the Second Degree and Furnishing Prohibited Articles. He also has charges for Breaking and Entering on his record.

He currently has 46 major disciplinary violations against him within the Arkansas Department of Corrections according to prison records – including violations for threatening to inflict injury, battery, interfering with operations, unauthorized use of state property, failure to obey orders, refusal of assignment, and possession and manufacturing of contraband – dating back to March 2016. His most recent major disciplinary violation came in September 2019.

All previous charges come from Monroe County in 2010, 2014, and 2016.
