Pine Bluff Ward Two city councilman Win Trafford has announced that he has retracted his bid for reelection of his current post.

Trafford had previously announced his intentions to seek reelection, but noted Saturday that he was retracting his bid due to “health, clients, friends, and family”.

Trafford released the following statement on his Facebook page:

I am officially retracting my announcement to run for my Ward 2 City Council position. My health, clients, friends, and most importantly, my family dictate this difficult decision.

I will always be very involved in the political arena and votes that are cast.

I will continue to be committed to our community and everything that moves Pine Bluff forward. I’m not leaving you. I am going to be a much larger voice for moving Pine Bluff forward. I love all of you who have supported me, and I love Pine Bluff even more. I will always do my part to make sure we are great.

Trafford currently serves as Public Safety Chair, in addition to serving on the Public Works and Development and Planning committees.
