Steven Shaner
Ward 2 City Council member Steven Shaner, who will complete his first term in 2024 said Tuesday he will be a candidate for reelection in the May 2024 primary. Appearing on the Oldies 101.3 morning show, Shaner was asked why and responded this way.
Shaner was a vocal supporter of the bid to renew the five-eights cent sales tax that funds the Go Forward Pine Bluff initiative, as well as a proposed three-eights cent additional tax for public safety. Morning show host Greg Horne asked Shaner if he expected that the extension and public safety tax proposals will be back on the ballot again.
