The citizens of Pine Bluff have spoken, and Vivian Flowers will be the next Mayor of the City of Pine Bluff.
Flowers, who served five terms in the Arkansas House, defeated Mayor Shirley Washington during the Democrat primary. This lead to her facing Libertarian candidate John Fenley.
Final results came in early Wednesday morning showing Flowers defeated Fenley by a total of 9,857 to 1,351.
Flowers ran on the promise of combating violence in Pine Bluff while also seeking more opportunities for economic growth within the city.
