UPDATE: The victim in Wednesday night’s pedestrian fatality accident has been identified.
According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, 26-year-old Jajuan Meadows was walking westbound on Highway 54 just west of Ramick Road when he was struck by a 2023 Dodge Charger that was driving eastbound on Highway 54.
Meadows was thrown off of the roadway by the impact, and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The road was clear and weather was dry at the time of the accident, according to the report.
UPDATE: The scene has been cleared by law enforcement and emergency responders. No further information on the accident will be released until next of kin has been notified of the victim’s death.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police are currently working a fatal accident involving a pedestrian near Raymic Road in Sulpher Springs at 10:45 p.m.
Law enforcement sources tell Deltaplex News that they are asking the public to remain out of the area while they conduct an investigation at the scene.
