UPDATE 8:20 PM MAY 4: Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has identified the victim in Wednesday night’s hit and run homicide as 62-year-old Larry Davis.
Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene by Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher.
61–year–old Thompson Ferrel Cousin of Pine Bluff has been arrested in connection to this homicide, and has been booked into the Jefferson County Jail on a charge of 2nd Degree Murder.
UPDATE 12:12 AM: On May 3, 2023, just after 9:00 PM, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to the intersection of 24th Ave. and Olive St. for a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle.
On arrival they located a male lying in the north bound lanes of Olive St. to the north of 24th Ave. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses stated that a red truck struck the male and continued driving north without stopping. Officers were able to use the FLOCK camera system that the department has throughout the city to locate the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was also located shortly after officers located the vehicle.
The driver has been identified as 61–year–old Thompson Ferrel Cousin of Pine Bluff.
Cousin was taken into custody at his home and booked into the Jefferson County jail for Murder 2nd Degree.
The identity of the victim of this hit and run will be released once family has been located and notified of his death.
This will be the 7th homicide in Pine Bluff in 2023.
UPDATE: The Pine Bluff Police Department is looking for a red pickup truck with front end damage last seen traveling north on Olive Street.

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a hit and run fatality accident in the area of 25th and Olive.
Around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday night a pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle that immediately left the scene.
Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has confirmed to Deltaplex News that the pedestrian is deceased.
