UPDATE 4:35 P.M.

The Pine Bluff Police Department has released the following information on Tuesday’s accident:

On June 7, 2022, at about 10:15 AM, Pine Bluff Police Officers responded to Producers Rice Mill at 121 S. Kansas in reference to a death.

Officers discovered that a crew of outside contractors were working with a truck mounted crane when the crane fell over and struck one of the employees.

The employee was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner.

The incident appears to be a heartbreaking industrial accident. At this time there is no suspected criminal violation or foul play.

Pine Bluff Police stayed at the scene to assist the Coroner with his investigation.

UPDATE 2:10 P.M.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has identified the victim killed in Tuesday morning’s industrial accident at Producer’s Rice Mill on Port Road as 26-year-old Kyle Woodrow Vaughan.

Vaughan was reportedly killed when a crane fell onto him.

Kelley tells Deltaplex News that he pronounced Vaughan deceased at the scene at 10:55 a.m.

His body will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.

A reported industrial accident at Producer’s Rice Mill on Port Road Tuesday morning has reportedly resulted in the death of one person.

Sources tell Deltaplex News that a crane that was being used fell onto the person.
