UPDATE: The victim of this homicide has been identified as 21-year-old Courtaurius Williams.

19-year-old, Lamarion White, identified as the person responsible for this morning’s homicide, is in police custody. Pine Bluff Detectives Jason Boykin, Ryan Edwards, Dante Nicholson, Detective Sergeant Corey Wilfong, Patrol Sergeant Jacob Howard, Officer Stefan Evans, and Officer Richard Carreno took White into custody without incident at a local address (1504 W. 24th Avenue) around 6:00 P.M.
White will be booked in at W. C. Dub Brassell Adult Detection Center for Capital Murder.

ORIGINAL STORY:

On January 26, 2025, just after 3:00 AM, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a report of gunshots in the area of the West End Pool Hall at 3303 W. 2nd Ave. While in route, the officers were informed that callers were stating that someone had been shot.

Officers arrived to find a male lying on the street next to a vehicle in front of 3303 W. 2nd Ave. The male had apparent gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead by a representative of the Jefferson County Coroner’s office.

It is early in the investigation at the time of this release. The circumstances leading up to this murder are under still being determined and there is no suspect information to release at the time of this release.

The identity of the deceased is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
