The Department of Correction reported Tuesday that 49-year-old Calvin Adams had been found hiding under a ventilation hood on the roof of the prison. He went missing sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning at the East Arkansas Regional Unit in Brickeys.
Adams also escaped from prison in 2009, walking out of the Cummins Unit with another inmate wearing guard uniforms. They were arrested in New York state four days later.
Adams is being held on capital murder charges from 1995 in the kidnapping and shooting death of a man. He is serving a life sentence without parole.
