United Way in pandemic makes it 33 years in a row to meet $1Million goal

For 33 straight years, the United Way of Southeast Arkansas has reached its goal and this past year’s campaign was no different.

At the United Way of Southeast Arkansas’ annual report Thursday, Campaign chair Scott Kuttenkuler announced that the $1 million goal had been exceeded by 54 dollars.

The United Way serves agencies in 16 Southeast Arkansas Counties, including 21 in Jefferson County.

Glen Dampier, who served as President of the United Way was asked about the campaign, which was conducted in the middle of a pandemic.

Lelan Stice was elected as United Way President for the upcoming year and Joni Alexander will serve as campaign chair.
