Sept. 23 is the kick-off for the United Way of Southeast Arkansas 75th annual fund raising campaign, and according to United Way Executive Director Leslie Dorn, the goal again this year is $1 million. She said last year, even with the COVID pandemic, the agency raised $1,000,054 and is optimistic that the goal will be reached again this year.
Dorn was joined on the Oldies 101.3 morning show Wednesday by Joni Alexander, who is the fall campaign chair.
Alexander went to talk about the United Way, describing it as a “wonderful organization.”
Dorn went on to explain that non-duplicated services number.
The annual kick-off event will take place at the Pine Bluff Country Club during a combined meeting of the Rotary Clubs.
