The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women’s basketball player Tyler Pyburn was named as the Southwestern Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week.

Pyburn (5-9 sophomore; health and physical education major; Blooming Grove, Tex.) led UAPB to an 85-68 win over Arkansas State last Friday night. Pyburn scored a career-high 23 points in the victory, including career highs in made field goals (nine) and made three-pointers (five). She shot 56.3 percent from the field (9-of-16) and 50 percent from the three-point line (5-of-10).

Pyburn shares the SWAC award with Alabama A&M’s Dariauna Lewis.

UAPB women’s basketball returns to action Thursday, Dec. 10, hosting Arkansas State at 6 p.m. in the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
