UAPB’s Offensive Lineman Mark Evans II Declares for 2023 NFL Draft

University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Mark Evans II has officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft. Evans anchored the Golden Lions offensive line for the past four years at left tackle.

Evans played 521 snaps this year, grading out overall at 93%, allowing only two sacks the entire season. The 6-foot-4, 295 offensive tackle, who’s been compared to former UAPB tackle Terron Armstead (Miami Dolphins), started in 9 out of 11 games this season at the left tackle position. Evans garnered the attention of several NFL scouts and is known for his fundamentals, toughness, athletic ability, and footwork. He was recently invited to participate in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Evans accolades include the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List, Walton Payton Award Watch List, Stats Perform FCS All-America Third Team, BOXTOROW Preseason HBCU All-America First Team, and East-West Shrine Bowl 1,000 list. He’s also a four-time First Team (SWAC) All-Conference selection, a three-time HBCU BOXTOROW All-American, a BOXTOROW All-America Honoree, HBCU Classic All-American, and Rated top-10 HBCU player by Pro Football Network.
