The past couple of weeks have been tough on Lady Lions volleyball team as they were forced to face numerous obstacles due to the inclement weather in Pine Bluff, AR. UAPB was itching to get back on the court and play the game they love. The game was scheduled to be played at home but had to be played away due to a water crisis in the area.

The Lady Lions were hungry and looking to upset the number-one seeded Jackson State Tigers. That hunger would show in the first set of play with the Lady Lions winning the first set 25-16 over the Lady Tigers. However, in the next two sets, the Lady Lions would fall to Jackson State with repeated set scores of 20-25. The Lady Lions played with a sense of urgency in the fourth set going back and forth with the Lady Tigers before running out of fuel and ending the set 23-25, falling to Jackson State 3-1.

Lady Lions volleyball will return to action at home on Monday, March 1st in a rematch against the Southern University Jaguars at noon.
