UAPB Track &Field: Snowden Makes His Debut At The NCAA Championship

The road to champions ends in Austin, Texas for the one student-athlete from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men’s track and field team who qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The event starts on Friday for the Golden Lions competitor.

Caleb Snowden, the NCAA West Regions Champion will make his debut for the Golden Lions on Friday at 7:30 PM. (CT)

The top-eight in the event will automatic clinch the All-American tab for their achievements.  Snowden a junior, came out on top in the men’s high jump to secure a spot in the NCAA Outdoor National Championships, with a jump of 2.17 meters.

After finishing first place and posting a personal best, Snowden finished atop the leaderboard of both the East and West Regions and was the first-ever HBCU student-athlete to win the first round of an event in the West Regions.
