UAPB Soccer Pulls Away Late Over Texas Southern 3-1 On The Road
HOUSTON, Texas — The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Texas Southern on the road at Durley Stadium.
The Lady Lions move to 1-1 in conference play after defeating the Tigers for the second consecutive season.
How it Happened
Arkansas-Pine Bluff grabbed a 1-0 lead when Sydney Azuero scored a goal in the 14th minute, assisted by Leanna Saleh.
The Lady Tigers levelled the match on a goal from Kennedy Tristan in the 72nd minute.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff went ahead 2-1 on Ashley Mcguire’s 75th-minute goal. Emma Peyton assisted the goal.
The Lady Lions took a 3-1 lead with an 82nd-minute goal from Iyanah Hicks. Madison Hernanadez assisted the goal. The 3-1 score held to the end of the game.
