UAPB Soccer Falls To North Dakota

PINE BLUFF, — The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff soccer team fell 2-0 at home to North Dakota Sunday (September 18) at Pumphrey Soccer Complex.

The loss dropped the Lady Lions record to 5-6-0, and North Dakota improved to 4-4-2.

The Fighting Hawks scored the first goal of the game at the 41st-minute mark in the first half to take a 1-0 lead at intermission. UAPB battled down the stretch, but the Fighting Hawks scored their second goal of the game at the 70-minute mark to seal the win on the road.

How it Happened

Freshman Makalia Riedel led UAPB with four saves. The Lady Lions registered 11 and four shots on goal versus North Dakota, 11 and eight shots on goal.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on the road as they start conference play Friday, September 16, against Southern U at 6 p.m.
