UAPB Soccer: Early Offense, Late Defense Help Lady Lions Shutout Tarleton State at Home 1-0
PINE BLUFF, AR – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women’s soccer team claimed a shutout over TarletonState 1-0 at home on Sunday afternoon.
Lady Lions improved to 4-3-1 on the season following the win. This is the first time since the 2010-2011 season that the Lady Lions have won a non-conference Division I game in back-to-back seasons.
How it Happened
UAPB took a 1-0 lead when Brisha Musungu scored her third goal of the season in the 13th minute, assisted by Iyanah Hicks. The Lady Lions stood their ground defensively and didn’t allow Tarleton to score another goal and the game ended with the 1-0 score.
