UAPB MEN’S HOOPS: Bradley Secures Double-Double in Golden Lions Loss to Florida A&M

TALLAHASSEE, FL —Doctor Bradley notched a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds, but the UAPB men’s basketball team fell to the Florida A&M Rattlers 86-76 on the road Saturday.

In addition to Bradley’s strong output, the Golden Lions were led by Christian Moore, who had nine points, four assists and three steals, and by Quentin Bolton Jr., who tacked on nine points and seven rebounds.

Led by Bolton Jr.’s three offensive rebounds, UAPB did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 12 boards that resulted in 10 second chance points.

UAPB forced 15 Florida A&M turnovers while committing 10 themselves in Saturday’s game. The Golden Lions turned those takeaways into 18 points on the offensive end of the floor. Bradley’s three steals led the way for UAPB.

How It Happened

UAPB struggled out of the gate, falling behind 49-28 heading into halftime.

Florida A&M kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 52-28 advantage before UAPB went on a 9-0 run, finished off by Bolton Jr.’s layup, to shrink the deficit to 52-37 with 17:18 to go in the contest. The Golden Lions kept their comeback going, but Florida A&M managed to hold on for the 86-76 win. UAPB took care of business in the paint, recording 24 of its 48 points in the lane.
