UAPB Football Introduce Class of 2022

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Athletic Department revealed their football class of 2022 at the Saracen Casino inside Legends Sports Bar. Hosted by Deltaplex Radio’s LaRon Marbley, the live event included interviews with Head Coach Doc Gamble and Athletic Director Chris Robinson, highlights of the incoming recruits, raffles, and a Q&A session.

Coach Gamble and his staff were able to sign 25 players so far this recruiting season, and look to sign an additional 4 players before the period ends. The Golden Lions were able to beef up the defensive side of the ball with the addition of 5 linebackers, 3 defensive backs, and 2 defensive linemen. Offensively, the coaches focused on speed while on the recruiting trail, signing 3 wide receivers, 2 quarterbacks, and a tight end just to mention a few.

Athletic Director Chris Robinson alongside VP George Cotton updated the Golden Lion faithful on the projects currently taking place in the Athletics Department. They mentioned the groundbreaking ceremony for the Track & Field and soccer complex, as well as the Women in Sports Partnership with Simmons Bank, and the upgrades for multiple facilities. The spring football game date was also revealed, and is set for April 22nd.
