UAPB Cross Country Secure Top 5 Finishes In Regular Season Finale

Magnolia, AR – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Cross Country team had a successful outing at the Lois Davis Invitational held at the Southern Arkansas University.

UAPB Men’s XC finished second out of eight teams in the 8K run, with four Golden Lions finishing in the Top 10. Senior Baron Freeman led the way for UAPB with a third place finish at a time of 26:09.7. Junior Tarik Xavier and sophomores Terrance Johnson and Genesis Joseph finished seventh, eighth, and ninth, respectively with completion times of 26:56.2, 27:16.9, and 27:44.8 for UAPB.

UAPB Women’s XC came in fifth place in the 5K run with a score of 131. Freshman Kris-Ann Plummer led the way for the Lady Lions finishing 13th out of over 75 participants with a time of 20:49.7. Freshman Kathrin Maurer finished 27th for UAPB with a time of 21:57.5, and Freshman Cheriece Cope finished 40th with a time of 23:55.8.
