UAPB Baseball: Late Inning Rally Comes Up Short In Non-Conference Loss To Memphis

UAPB vs Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —An outstanding offensive output was not enough for UAPB on Tuesday. The Golden Lions plated five runs, but could not hold the Memphis Tigers at bay, and were defeated 9-5.

Sophomore Frank Perez started and took the loss on the mound for UAPB. Junior Jacob Ehling was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going three innings, surrendering two runs, zero earned, on one hit.

At the plate, the Golden Lions were led by junior Micah Brown, who went 2-for-4 on the day with an RBI. Senior Brandon Simon furnished a noteworthy effort as well, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Senior JaKobi Jackson also contributed for UAPB, putting together zero hits in three trips to the plate while adding a walk and two RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
