UAPB Baseball Drops Contest to Oral Roberts

TULSA, Okla. –The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup Tuesday, falling to the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 11-1 at the J.L. Johnson Stadium.  Sophomore Andrew Duran got the ball to start for UAPB and took the loss.

Offensively, the Golden Lions were led by Simon, who went 1-for-3 on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 6-0, the Golden Lions first put runs on the board in the third inning. Freshman Carlos Velez came across to score the lone run of the inning for UAPB and get them on the board. The Golden Lions were unable to get any closer, as Oral Roberts added five runs to their tally on the way to an 11-1 final.

The Golden Lions will be back in conference play for a three-game series, this weekend versus Prairie View A&M at the Torii Hunter Baseball Complex.  First pitch is set for 3 P.M.
