The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Athletics partnered with Cricket Wireless, Mayor Shirley Washington, and Parks and Recreations Director Samuel Glover to give back to the Pine Bluff community center. This partnership began with a strong initiative from UAPB Athletics to be in more alliance with the Pine Bluff community to work together to help in positive ways.

In efforts to do so, the Athletic Director of Community Outreach and Assistant Director of Strategic Communications, Cameo Stokes, along with the Athletic Director Christopher Robinson used this partnership to give back to the newly renovated Pine Bluff Community Center.

Robinson explained how this partnership came about and the goal of the Athletics Program within the Pine Bluff community.

Stokes also expressed his role in developing efforts to get more engaged in Pine Bluff and explained the donation that Cricket Wireless presented at a soft grand opening at the community center.

The Cricket Wireless $2500 donation is going towards helping with Health and Wellness, Financial Literacy, and S.T.E.M programs that the community center plans to offer after their grand opening Sunday, March 28th.
