UAM PICKED SIXTH IN GAC PRESEASON POLL

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s golf team was picked to finish sixth in the Great American Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Blossoms return three members from a season ago in sophomores Shehna Akbary, Emilie Bergh-Jacobsen, Anna Beth Reynolds and Chiara Sturaro.
New Head Coach Ken Hamilton also brought in four fresh faces to join the club with senior Getsemani Carlos Lopez and freshmen Gabriela Maldonado, Kensley Miller and Worawalan Siwaiyapram.
UAM tees off to begin its fall season at Adams Point Golf Club in Blue Springs, Mo. for the Central Region Fall Preview tournament hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma State University Sept. 7-8.
Next, the Blossoms will visit Shawnee, Okla. for the OBU Fall Invitational hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University at the Shawnee Country Club Sept. 27-28.
UAM will close out the fall season with an in-state trip to Hot Springs, Ark. to play in the NCAA DII Central Regional Preview tournament hosted by Henderson State Oct. 11-12 at the Hot Springs Country Club – Park Course.
