The University of Arkansas at Monticello Weevil Football team is preparing for the annual Green & White game. The game will be held this Friday, August 19, at Willis Convoy Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium and will be open to attendance from all faculty, students, and fans.

This will be the first on-campus athletic event of the 2022-2023 athletic year. Doors are scheduled to open at 5:45 p.m. for the 6:00 p.m. start time, and seating will be available on both the home and visitors’ stands and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. All traffic may enter from both the main entrance and the entrance located on the visitors’ side.

Looking to meet some of your 2022-2023 student-athletes? Stop by the “Grill & Chill” Tailgate, beginning at 5:30 p.m., and running through 8:00 p.m. Attendees can grab a plate of free food and have a chance win some giveaways!

For fans in attendance, restrooms will be open near the Judy and Jack Lassiter Indoor Practice Facility and Steelman Field House. Parking will be available in front of the main entrance to the stadium and in front of Harris Hall and Steelman Field House. There will be no tailgating allowed prior to the game, and concessions will be closed during the event.

In terms of the contest, UAM will be split into two teams. This year’s Green & White game will be a face-off between two of UAM’s great supporters, Scott Saffold and Dr. Michael Fakouri. Dr. Fakouri will take the reins of the Green Team and Saffold will lead the White Team as both teams fight for victory.

The marching band and cheer team will also be in attendance.
