A Little Rock man was killed and a second one injured in a two-vehicle accident on Cantrell Road Tuesday morning.
According to a preliminary report, Derek Reed, 39, was westbound on Cantrell Road when a 1976 1996 Mercedes driven by Owen Carroll, 75, ran the stop light at the intersection with Foxcroft Road.
The 2018 Ford driven by Reed hit the Mercedes on the driver’s side door and Carroll was taken the UAMS where he was pronounced dead.
Reed was injured and also taken to UAMS.
The accident was reported at 8:40 a.m. ad the death was the 529th so far this year on the state’s highways.
