Two PB men, both with prior felony convictions, were arrested after finding a gun in their vehicle

Two Pine Bluff men, both with prior felony convictions were arrested Saturday after a gun was found in the vehicle the men were driving.

Kendrick Smith, 33, and Darryl Tyson, 32, were taken into custody after police conducted a traffic stop on a car that Smith was driving.

During a court hearing Monday, prosecutors explained the allegation.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $12,000 bond for Smith, has multiple prior misdemeanor traffic related charges from 2021, 2023 and 2024, as well as a prior felony conviction.

A $5,000 cash only bond was set for Tyson who has pending charges of first-degree battery and being a felon in possession of a firearm stemming from an incident in January 2023. A $50,000 cash only bond was been set in that case and Circuit Judge Alex Guynn issued an order revoking Tyson’s bond because he failed to appear for a court hearing.

Smith and Tyson were told to come back to court Jan. 27
