An attempt to steal copper wire from an Entergy Arkansas power box at a former school in the early morning hours Monday resulted in the arrest of two men involved in two separate incidents at the same location.

During court hearings Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said the first incident involved David Robinson, 37, of White Hall who was found after police responded to a possible burglary in progress on East 26th Avenue.

When police returned to the location to follow up, they found John Parker, 55, of Rison, and another man.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set bonds of $25,000 for Robinson and Parker Tuesday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge them with property theft.

Parker is currently on parole and a petition has been filed to revoke that parole. He will be held until given a hearing on the parole status.
