A reported burglary in progress Saturday afternoon resulted in the arrest of two men found inside a convenience store.

Aubrey Smith, 42, and Keandre Moore, 27, were taken into custody after police were sent to the Fast Mart on Cherry Street at about 3 p.m.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Chris Wieland, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson told the court what officers found.

Carson said Smith was read his rights and admitted he broke into the store but said he was alone.

Moore was not questioned after asking for an attorney.

Carson said Smith has had multiple convictions for breaking or entering in 1998 and 2000 and commercial burglary in 2011 and Moore has had convictions for aggravated robbery and theft by receiving in 2011.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set $20,000 bonds for both men after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge them with commercial burglary. The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent them.
