According to scanner traffic there are numerous trees that have fallen across roads and power lines in the Deltaplex area. Both C&L Electric and Entergy Arkansas have crews working to make repairs and restore power.
At last check trees are confirmed to be across roads and highways in Arkansas, Cleveland, Grant, Lincoln, and Jefferson counties.
Torrential rainfall is believed to be the culprit at this time with Tropical Storm Cristobal making its way across the state. Many areas in the Deltaplex are also under a flash flood warning due to the storm.
Additionally, Arkansas State Police and several local law enforcement agencies have reported numerous automobile accidents due to hydroplaning and driving at excessive speeds.
