An investigation into a reported stolen car Wednesday resulted in the arrest of three men who were found with the vehicle.

Latrell White, 48, of Little Rock, William Brewer, 36, and Ricky Manning, 31, both of Pine Bluff were taken into custody after police were sent to an apartment complex at 3021 S. Fir St., at 12:22 a.m. in reference to a stolen auto report.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed explained what happened.

Reed said Brewer kept putting his hands in his pocket and a search of his person resulted in officers locating suspected drugs.

White and Manning, who initially identified himself as Johnny Stribling were also taken into custody, and a search of the vehicle they were in resulted in the finding of a handgun under the back seat.

Brewer was interviewed and Reed told the court what he said.

White said nothing in the vehicle belonged to him and said the vehicle they were in belonged to his uncle.

Reed said all three men are convicted felons. Brewer has a pending charge in Faulkner County and is on parole in Greene County and is listed as an absconder. Because of that, Jefferson County Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $50,000 bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with theft of property. A similar bond was set for White on probable cause of theft of property and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Manning has pending felony charges in Jefferson County and Bridgforth set a $10,000 cash-only bond for him.
