Thousands remain without power after storms ravaged the Natural State early Saturday morning.

The trail of destruction is widespread. Downed utility poles and uprooted trees litter yards and roadways. There were approximately 2,000 miles of distribution line damaged or destroyed and 134 poles broken across the state.

Pulaski County accounts for a majority of impacted customers.

That number continues to drop as personnel amounting to more than 1,000, continues to work around the clock to restore power. Entergy Arkansas has called in line crews from Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi to assist with the recovery operation.

As of 9:30 a.m. Monday, the Entergy Arkansas outage map showed approximately 8,800 customers remained without power, with the majority of those residents living in Pulaski, Saline and Monroe counties.
