The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff currently has more than 300 students who have been moved out of campus housing because of low water pressure issues. Laurence Alexander, the chancellor of UAPB said Thursday those students are currently being housed in hotels in Little Rock, Pine Bluff and White Hall.

Speaking to Deltaplex News, Alexander said the university has been getting updates from Liberty Utilities on the water pressure issues and he believes that students will be able to return to campus soon.

Eleven months ago, students were sent home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and this year there are water pressure issues.

Alexander was also asked how the bills for housing students in hotels is going to be paid.
