One of Sheridan’s busiest intersections will be temporarily closed on Monday for improvements, the Arkansas Department of Transportation has announced.
U.S. Highway 270 and U.S. Highway 167B will be closed, weather permitting, from 8:00am to 5:30pm.
An alternate route is being offered. All through traffic, as well as right-turning traffic onto U.S. Highway 167B, will need to turn onto South Main, then turn left onto Pine Street to get back on the highway. The detour will have clearly marked signs to show the correct path for drivers.
The traffic in the area will be controlled with signage and traffic barrels. Those driving through the area should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
