With Hurricane Laura expected to hit Southeast Arkansas hard later Thursday, a large contingent of equipment, manpower and technical expertise set up shop on the parking lot of the Pines Mall, preparing to work on restoring telecommunications equipment.

The mall parking lot is being used as a staging area for generators, pumps and other equipment and Kim Key, who works for T-Mobile/Sprint said the generators and pumps would be made available to the City of Pine Bluff or other cities if they were needed.

Kevin Hall, who also works for T-Mobile/Sprint said the mass of equipment and manpower was designed to assist more than just the Pine Bluff area.
