Ted Nugent has revealed that he’s tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
The outspoken right-wing rocker announced the news on Monday in a video posted on his Facebook page.
“Everybody told me that I should not announce this,” Nugent began, “but I have had flu symptoms for the last 10 days. I thought I was dying. Just a clusterf***.”
The 72-year-old guitar whiz continued, “I was tested positive today. …I’ve got a stuffed-up head, body aches. My God, what a pain in the a**. I literally could hardly crawl out of bed the last few days.”
He went on to discuss his visit to a doctor, noting that he told the physician, “I haven’t been tested. Haven’t taken the vaccine, ’cause nobody knows what’s in it.” Nugent added, “Actually, some people do know what’s in it, and [they] can’t even honestly answer our questions of exactly what’s in it and why are you testing it on human beings, and forcing it upon people in such a short period of time.”
Nugent went on to say, between coughs, belches and spitting up phlegm, that he is “homebound, i.e. quarantined” while he recovers from the disease.
Later on Monday, Ted talked more about his bout with COVID-19 during an episode of his Spirit Campfire internet show.
In recent weeks, Nugent received media attention by repeating unfounded claims that the official count of people who have died from the coronavirus has been inflated.
He also made news earlier this month when he incorrectly suggested that COVID-19 had been given that name because there were 18 previous coronaviruses.
