Suspect Sought in Stabbing, James Walton Goad II, Is Now In Police Custody

UPDATE:   Pine Bluff Police officer Richard Wegner, has told Deltaplex News that the suspect, James Walton Goad II is now in police custody.  Goad, 30, was brought into custody this morning after police asked for the publics help in finding him for the stabbing mentioned in the below story.

The Pine Bluff Police Department (PBPD) is asking the public for help in locating a man who is wanted in connection with a stabbing that occurred shortly before 3:00pm on Tuesday.

Officers responded to the call in the 1500 block of North Huckenhall Street in Pine Bluff and found the 45-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound in his left abdomen, according to a PBPD news release.  The victim was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center before being transferred to an undisclosed hospital in Little Rock for surgery were he remains today, the news release stated.

According to Officer Richard Wegner, the investigation was able to identify the suspect as James Walton Goad II.  He is described as a 30-year-old white male who is about 5 feet, seven inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.  He has brown hair and green eyes.  He was last seen driving an older model primer gray Chevrolet pickup.  Goad sometimes goes by the first name Walt.
