Stone Temple Pilots are apparently preparing a 25th anniversary reissue of their 1996 album Tiny Music…Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop for release sometime this year.

That’s according to the band’s photographer, John Eder, who wrote on Instagram, “I was looking through my archive of pics of Stone Temple Pilots the other day, as their Tiny Music album, for which I did the cover, is being reissued, and the label has asked me for material to review for the package.”

He added, “STP were great to work with/for.”

The news of a Tiny Music reissue isn’t surprising, given that STP also did reissues for the 25th anniversaries of both their debut, Core, and sophomore release, Purple.  Tiny Music, the band’s third album, featured the hits “Big Bang Baby,” “Lady Picture Show” and “Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart.”

Before the album came out, front man Scott Weiland had been sentenced to one year of probation for heroin and cocaine possession.  However, he continued to use, and some of the band’s 1996 and 1997 tour dates in support of Tiny Music had to be cancelled when he checked into rehab.  He died in 2015.

STP’s most recent album, Perdida, came out last year. It’s their second with lead singer Jeff Gutt.
