This is expected to be one of the biggest weekends for deer hunting in the state, and with the increase in deer kills, the possibility of more cases of Chronic Wasting Disease could be discovered. Rick Walker talked to the state’s wildlife veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Ballard about the counties that have been added in South Arkansas.
Rick asked Dr. Ballard about the dangers of humans getting the disease.
Testing is readily available but is not being utilized by enough hunters.
Ballard went on to say that testing sites are easy to find.
