State Troopers sent to hospital to guard suspects in shooting of officers

As the investigation into a shooting that resulted in injuries to two Pine Bluff Police officers continues, Arkansas State Troopers were sent to Jefferson Regional Hospital to stand by with the 3 suspects in the incident.  All 3 of the suspects have been shot but none are thought to be life threatening.

According to scanner traffic, two troopers were assigned to stand by with suspects until they could be interviewed by State Police Special Agents, who will handle the investigation.

The shooting occurred at the Econo Lodge on Blake Street.

Multiple unofficial sources have told Deltaplex News that one of the officers died but there has been  no official confirmation of that. The condition of the second officer is unknown.
