The Arkansas State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Arkansas Department of Corrections’ Randall Williams Unit at Pine Bluff who died after an alleged altercation with other inmates.
According to a news release, Timothy Hedrick, 29, died Saturday at UAMS where he had been taken after the altercation Dec. 28.
The Department of Corrections will also be conducting an internal investigation, the release said.
Hedrick had been serving a 15-year prison sentence from Fulton County for discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
