Star City School District held their school board meeting on Monday, April 26th, and announced Chris Jones as the Teacher of the Year in the district. Jones has taught at Star City High School since 2011 where he teaches Human Body Systems and Human Anatomy, coaches track, and is the Head Jr. High Football Coach, and an Assistant High School Football Coach.

 

The board also approved a new ASBA updated legislature policy and approved certified and classified Salary Schedules for the 2021-2022 school year. Superintendent Jordan Frizzell stated that HB1614, Teacher Salary Equalization Fund, passed and funds have been provided to update all teacher salaries within the district. Superintendent Frizzell was also able to get salary increases for personal care paraprofessionals approved.
