The Star City Police Department reports that they have arrested 18-year-old Edwin Fountain of Pine Bluff in connection with stealing a car.
Police learned that Fountain had taken the keys to Brames and Irma Jackson’s vehicle during a family visit. He then returned in the middle of the night to steal the car, according to authorities.
Jackson’s vehicle was located in Pine Bluff by the Pine Bluff Police Department. Fountain was arrested on November 7, 2018 at the Jack Jones Juvenile Justice Center and transported to the Lincoln County jail where he was arrested for theft of property. He is currently being held on a $5,000 bond.
Star City Police are also seeking an arrest warrant for Brenda Cohens of Pine Bluff. She is suspected of shoplifting several items from Fred’s Discount Dollar Store.
Authorities say that when she was confronted by store employees, she attempted to strike them with her vehicle to escape. Cohens is currently being held at the Dub Brassell Detention Center on several unrelated arrest warrants.
