The Star City Library offers a craft class for adults every month, featuring a different project that can be completed in one to two hours. On this month’s agenda is How to turn Mason Jars into fall lanterns using chalk paint and adhesive templates. Several leave templates and fall paint color options are available. Every participant will receive three Mason jars to work on.
Everybody who loves to be crafty and would like to learn the basics of painting on glass with chalk paint is invited to join the class at the Star City Library on Thursday, September 20, 2018. The session will be held from 6 to 8pm. Participants will be instructed step-by-step how to decorate their own Mason jar lanterns. The project can be taken home at the end of the event.
This workshop is a fun way to spend time at your local library, in good company, enjoy some light refreshments while being creative, according to a spokesperson.
There will be a $5.00 supply fee per participant, which will include paint, adhesive decals, candles and fillings for the lanterns. The Mason jars will be generously donated to all participants by the Lincoln County Home Extension Service.
Class space is limited. Please make your reservation by calling your library at 870-628-4711. Fees will be due at the event.
