May is Mental Health Awareness Month and on Wednesday, Sherry James and Joyce Walker from Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Healthcare were guests on the Oldies 1013 morning show.

Asked to explain things people should be aware of when it comes to mental health, James said this.

Jennifer Lipp, who was filling in for morning show host Greg Horne who is on vacation said that sometimes people talk themselves out of saying they need help because they think everybody feels this way or everybody has a day like this to which Walker replied.

She went on to say that a lot of people are afraid of the stigma of mental health and lack access to services.
