A shooting at Little Caesars Pizza off South University Avenue in Little Rock Thursday afternoon left one man dead.
LRPD officers say they believe an employee and customer were shooting at each other inside of the store. “What we do know is this was not a robbery,” says Lt. Micheal Ford. “This was possibly between an employee and an associate or patron of the business.” The employee was gone by the time police arrived at the scene. The customer was rushed to a nearby but died from his injuries.
“University is a busy street and they were shooting back at each other,” Ford said. “They could have easily struck a passing vehicle.” Police are reviewing security footage to determine what led up to the shooting and to identify the suspect. There were other employees inside the store at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries have been reported.
