As the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic continues, one of the areas that it has dramatically affected is the operations of the Jefferson County Adult Detention Center.
On Tuesday, Jefferson County Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr., was a guest on the Oldies 013 morning show and gave an update on jail operations.
Woods went on to say that there was a lot of preplanning in dealing with the pandemic.
He said he had received a lot of phone calls, many from business owners who had been the victim of what he described s “petty thefts” and didn’t want to minimize their concerns.
