An 18-year-old student in the Watson Chapel School District was arrested Wednesday afternoon after an investigation into telephone threats against the school.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show Thursday, Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr. talked about the investigation that resulted in the arrest of Renesha Washington.

Woods said that there were three separate incidents reported, beginning Sept. 16, then again on Sept. 23 and Sept. 26 and he promised the community that criminal investigators would do all they could to identify the person or persons responsible.

Woods went on to say that he was not aware of any previous criminal record for Washington.
