The Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotions Commission on Wednesday announced that grants totaling $1.5 million had been made, thanks to sales tax funds from lodging and prepared foods.
While $1.1 million of that is going to the Pine Bluff Convention Center, a number of agencies and organizations also received money.
Appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Thursday, Commission Executive Director Sherie Storie some of those groups that got money.
Storie said the commission also provided year-round funding for Hestand Stadium and added $25,000 to make sure there will be a carnival and fair in October.
She then added this regarding the fair event.
Storie said Taylor Field will also get money for operations.
